This past week we took a trip down to Northern California for the massive Turlock Swap Meet. It was the 50th year anniversary of the swap meet as well, and this year they added more space and even a couple of more buildings with vendors and people selling.
One thing that always amazes me about California is the size of the car hobby. The number of cars for sale and rare parts that can be had is just awesome. If you are a “car person”, then California is the place to be.
The swap was over the weekend, so we were down a couple days early to catch up with friends and take in some of the sights. On of our stops was the Sacramento Automotive Museum. Check out the little video we put together for you…
Of course the day came to check out the swap meet.
It was endless people selling all you could thing of. Some just tons of emblems, others it was fender, and then there were people with almost everything you could think of from hub caps to the kitchen sink.
We had a vendor pass, so we were there before the general public at about 6:00am PST. We flew around the area searching for any great deals.
One was a 1933 Chev 3-Window Coupe that I am still thinking I should have picked up! But there were lots more too.
